The night of February 15th was filled with everything that you could ask for on sophomore night at Johnston Community College. There was a slice of heartbreak as we said goodbye and thanked our sophomores Tymell Blue and Jermarcus Phelps for an outstanding season. A dabble of cheers and excitement as the men's basketball team storm back from 15 down in the second half in order to send the game into overtime against Central Carolina Community College.
The biggest performance of the night was Demetrius Hall, who poured in a monstrous 35 points including the shot that sent the game into overtime. He was joined on the night by Jermarcus Phelps who pitched in 18 points and Tymell Blue chipping in 15 points.
The Jaguars gave Central Carolina everything they could handle but ran out of gas in overtime. They couldn't seem to convert on easy baskets and fell short 93 to 98.
This is nothing to hang their heads over as the Jaguars will be back in action this Saturday February 25th against Davidson County Community College for conference play. Please come out and support your JCC Jaguars.
